EYAA Basketball Player Evaluation

A simple coach tool built around three development pillars: fundamentals, sportsmanship, and leadership. Keep feedback focused, practical, and easy for players to act on.

Start Here Player & Team Info
1 Fundamentals

Score the player, then assign up to three drills. These drill menus combine the top 10 practice drills across dribbling, shooting, passing, and defense.

  • Dribbling: Stationary Pound Dribbles, Cone Zig-Zag Dribble, Speed Dribble to Control Stop
  • Shooting: Form Shooting, Mikan Layups, Spot Shooting
  • Passing: Wall Passing, Partner Chest/Bounce Passing
  • Defense: Defensive Slide Mirror, Closeout + Hands High
2 Sportsmanship

Use one score, one example player, and one reminder for how the player can show respect and team-first behavior.

3 Leadership

Keep leadership kid-friendly: communication, effort, example-setting, and one age-appropriate basketball book or challenge.

Coach Reminder: Keep the message to three things max — one skill focus, one character focus, and one leadership focus. Young players improve faster when feedback is clear, short, and repeated.
